With the main event already done for us so early in the morning. It was time to move on, and by move on I mean going down the mountain. It took us three hours to walk up Huangshan to climb up the Eastern steps but we will be going down a different route via the Western Steps. Your hostel would have provided you with some information about hiking in Huangshan. The Western Steps are probably twice as long as the Eastern steps and I was only too glad that we didn’t go up that way.
The day seem to be a very promising one as the sky seems to be free of the mist that plagued our climb the previous day. The sun is higher now and everything can be easily seen now. A lot of people have also begun their walk down the mountain I guess there isn’t much to do here once you have done the sunrise. I am beginning to get a glimpse of the wonderful scenery of Huangshan which has made it famous all over China. This early, I’m already agreeing with them.
