We were quite lucky to get to the sunrise viewing platfrom ahead of everyone else. We needed to climb back up the mountain to get to the viewing platform and to do this so early in the morning is just horrible. At first we were heading to the popular viewing deck which our Chinese friend realized to be facing the wrong direction. We quickly headed to the viewing deck beside the weather station and we were pleasantly surprised that no one was there, yet.
The sky was getting brighter by the minute and the other tourists have already found this spot. Fortunately, we were already in prime spots here at the view deck. A few of the tourists would try to squeeze in but there were really not much room here. I haven’t seen too many sunrises since I tend to sleep late into the morning so I can’t really say how good it was here. Slowly, the sun was peeking through the low layer of clouds in the horizon to the excitement of the viewers.
The sky was changing color minute by minute and it is really has not to be taken by the beauty unfolding before us. The cheering went on until the sun was fully above the clouds. It was a nice sunrise, though the others were saying that it was okay, and they had seen better sunrises elsewhere. There was not sea of clouds either which was good and I probably prefer it that way since we were still to explore much of mountain. The weather wasn’t extremely cold and I though it was a perfect time to hike these beautiful mountains. I’m really looking forward to this one.
