It was a very exhausting day at Huangshan. I climbed up the top of Huangshan from the cable car station and it sapped all my energy. My companions wanted to have a look around the top of Huangshan. While I want to have a look too, the weather wasn’t really that great since the mist was so thick. I just decided to give it a miss and stay in the hotel and rest. I managed to land the bottom bunk so it was easy enough to access. We decided to meet up at the larger dorm room for dinner.
Well, dinner wasn’t really something to look forward to. From the very start we were warned of the prices of food here on top of the mountain, it was understandable since all of it needs to be carried by hand up the mountain. Because of this, we all brought our own instant noodles for dinner and for breakfast. The dorm actually provided a water boiler so we were able to cook our instant noodles. Our Chinese friend served as our host since he served us the noodles which he boiled. Eating there wasn’t really very comfortable since there were already a lot of people in the dorm at that time, it was getting more and more like a refugee center.
The following morning they fetched me at my dorm room to see the sunrise, it was around 4:30 in the morning but we needed to beat the crowd. The can’t be too many places to see the sunrise here and fortunately for us our Chinese friend managed to find the perfect place. It was just beyond the weather station and it has a small viewing deck for sunrise watchers.
