The valleys of Cameron Highlands with their constant rain are incredibly fertile. This allows farmers to grow a huge variety of vegetables not found elsewhere in Malaysia. The produce here is also well known, such that visitors would usually bring back vegetables home. The Bharat Tea Plantation is one of these success stories since tea it not normally grown in the lowlands. The Bharat Tea Plantation now serves two purposes, planting of tea and now as a tourist attraction.
The road to the valley of the Bharat Tea Plantation is quite steep, because of this, the dirt path visitors must take has to go from side to side so that it will be easier to climb later on. From the top of the valley I saw a rather significant number of people down below. This piqued my curiousity so I decided to go down for a look. The valley itself has turned into a small amusement center with a small bridge, a small waterfall and a stream.
Okay, maybe amusement park is a little too strong, at least the place was still quite enjoyable. The stream flowing through the valley improves the ambience, since the water seemed to be clean and ice cold. The spot seemed to be popular with photographers too since there were several of them taking photos of the stream itself. It guess something that looks this natural is still hard to come by even here in Malaysia.
