I realized that I didn’t really prepare for this hike since I was already tired by the time I got to the Singapore Island Country Club. I was hoping there would be some refreshment stands somewhere along the way but no. The nearest one would probably be somewhere in the Singapore Island Country Club, but that is only for members. It was quite ironic that water is all around me but there is not a drop to drink here. Although MacRitchie Nature Park is a reservoir, the water here still needs to be purified.
Walking past Singapore Island Country Club, I was met again by another long set of boardwalks. I’ve said this before, it is really impressive how the managed to build such a long boardwalk. Actually, I don’t think there is much need for a boardwalk but I guess this is to help the less experienced folk get through this portion, which was somehow slightly elevated. This time though the boardwalk is through the forest itself. There is no water this time. It is interesting how the planned the whole park, giving visitors a new experience each segment of the trails.
