Walking Along the MacRitchie Reservoir
I probably underestimated the size of the MacRitchie Reservoir as I wasn’t really prepared to do some extensive walking that day. But since I was already there I might as well do some exploring. The starting point is normally near the spillway. There is a nicely manicured park just off to the right of the spillway. One would not think to find such a place here in Singapore.

Fortunately, the government has developed the reservoir into a full fledged nature park and it has really made it a pleasant place to visit. They have been careful not to overly modernize the entire park as large portions of the park still need to go through dirt road. The path goes around the dam where it slowly turns into something less artificial. More on that the next post.
