One of the largest structures in Melaka’s Chinatown is a Chinese temple namd Xianglin Temple. I noticed this temple from far away since it was quite large and it looked much like a palace from the outside. When I got to the temple, I was a bit disappointed with it. There weren’t that many visitors which led me to believe that the temple was private property. Add the gate outside and you got yourself a family temple. Although there really was someone inside, it seemed a bit eerie that there were no tourists milling about that temple.
I decided to give it a pass, lest I be reprimanded for trespassing. The Xianlin Temple was sufficiently large to hide its contents from public view. I couldn’t really find much about this temple, probably it was really that uninteresting that no one really bothered to write about it. If anyone of you readers happen to drop by Xianglin Temple, I would be interested to know what it inside it.
