Clarke Quay Right After Sunset
It took me some time to get the color I wanted. I was at the spot an hour before sundown and I wanted to get a shot of the lights of Clarke Quay at dusk. It took some time for the sky to darken enough to my liking, but even before that the lights were already starting to light up. Clarke Quay is a colorful entertainment district and it naturally has a lot of lights for aethetic purposes.
Clarke Quay After Dark
I took some shots while the sky was still blue but with the lights already on and was quite pleased with the outcome. The colorful lights of Clarke Quay went well with the rapidly darkening blue sky. Another few minutes went by and the sky was already dark and I took another shot again this time with a black sky. It was tough since I didn’t have a tripod and would have needed a longer exposure I wasn’t sure I would be able to get a clear shot. I would have to say that although the lights are much brighter in this shot, the lack of color on the sky will make me prefer the earlier version. Don’t you think so?
