Despite the insects that keep bugging me, we managed to hang on until early evening to get a photo of the Marina Barrage at sundown. There was already a great view of the Central Business Distrist from the Marina Barrage and we knew that would look good any time of the day, but most especially at night. However, we needed a photo of the Central Business District at night with the Marina Barrage park as the foreground. Our efforts were not in vain.
When sundown came, the lights of the Marina Barrage started lighting up. Even the ground level fountain area was also lit up. This gave us a great foreground to our already impressive viw of the Central Business District. Just after sundown was the best time since the sky was still not totally black. This combination of color gave us a great photo opportunity. My only regret was that I didn’t bring any tripod so I needed to use the highest ISO setting to get my shot. My friend was probably more frustrated than I was since he also didn’t bring one and he needed to fly here to get that shot. Oh well.
