We followed one of the branches of the dirt path and cam across this trail for mountain bikers. This seems to be some sort of challenge trail for them. The difficulty of the trail is displayed and visitors are free to try it out. Note that there is absolutely nothing to stop you from doing this, getting hurt here is not a very good situation to be in since help might be quite a distance away. Naturally, I didn’t try the trail although I did see some visitors trying it out.
Just past the mountain bike trail is a trail barely visible to the observant. The trail leads up to the small hill which faces the sea. The hill was already too much for me and I needed to push my bike up the hill. The top of the hill has a nice view of the surrounding area including Pulau Ketam and mainland Singapore. It would have been a good place to hang around but as the sun was already going down, it would be wise to start heading back to the town center. These parts of Singapore will not have any electricty at all. Getting lost is not unthinkable.
