Having been to the People’s Park in the Sky several times in the past, I have seen this park through the years. Change has been slow but it is there. The pool has been filled up and the vendors have infiltrated the park. The mansion itself remains unchanged and untouched. While right now it is a popular recreational site for the people, somehow I think it can be so much more than that.
With the high vantage point, a rotating observation tower might be a great idea here, although visitors might have to make sure that they visit when the skies are clear. It is also possible to turn this place into a restaurant scene, similar to what they have at the rotunda. However, this will practically hand over the entire park to private hands, which may not be a good thing. This is a popular place for the locals who just want to have a picnic and enjoy the view.
Commercialization of the place may not be in there best interests of the people. Perhaps there is a way to marry the two together and at the same time keep it open to the ordinary folk. Either way, with the glacial pace of change here, the People’s Park in the Sky would likely stay this way for years to come.
