Continuing on to the Faber Walk, I made haste to get back to my starting point. I had no idea what time the last bus back to town leaves so I need to make sure I will be there at the bus stop while there is still time. I was walking with several people and I was a pleasant walk. Although it was actually uphill, I didn’t really feel like I was going up a hill. The incline was really very gentle and any reasonably fit person can easily do this.
I have done walks like this in Hong Kong and it was quite an experience. The climb to the top of the mountain was relentless and will make your legs turn to jelly. It was probably the most tiring city walk I’ve ever had. This one was nothing like that. Anyway, I was also expecting the Henderson Waves to be likewise lit up just like the Alexandra Arch and the Forest Walk. I was not disappointed. Although, I was a still a little peeved at the number of people on the bridge at that time.
Understandably, it was better to hang out at the bridge at night rather than the daytime. The wave structure decorating the bridge on one side was lit up and it really is an impressive sight. The bridge itself has a few lights to but nothing too overpowering. Another thing of note here is that since it is night time, you can get a nice night time view of the city. The people here were mostly youngsters and photographers like me. I’m happy that I made the walk back to this point but now I really need to move on if I have any plans on going back to town.
