With nothing better to do, I decided to hang around the Hortpark until sunset, I have heard that the Alexandra Arch is lit up at night and I wanted to take photos of the bridge. I spent most of the time just lazing around the pool at Hortpark until the sun went down. True enough, the Alexandra Arch just outside the Hortpark was brilliantly lit. It was said to change color depending on the time of the night but I did not see such behavior.
Having already started the walk back, I decided to continue on the Forest Walk. I discovered that the Forest Walk was likewise lit up. There were little lights along the walkway which gives a nice light which is also not too strong to disturb the local wildlife. This way, you will still know that you as still walking at night. The way back felt much shorter most especially now that I have managed to traverse the whole length of the trail once, plus I couldn’t take as much photos as I did during the day.
This time though going up the Telok Blangah Hill, instead of taking the long route zigzagging across the hill, I took the stairs at the base of the hill got there in one minute. From this vantage point you can see much of the Forest Walk. The surrounding area is also quite well lit. Even though it was already night time, there were still a lot of people walking the Forest Walk. I think it is more pleasant to go through it at night that during the day time.
