Mount Faber Park is the highest park in the whole of Singapore, that being said, it isn’t really that high to begin with. It is known as a nice place to stroll or go on a date, most especially at night. There is a group of eating places here called the Jewel Box where I suppose a lot of proposals have already occurred. In the day, Mount Faber is a nice and pleasant little park.
Although Mount Faber was the highest point of Singapore, it surprisingly did not figure too prominently in her history. Plans to turn it into a fort were scuttled and it just became a park as it is right now. Nevertheless, one part of the park is dedicated to the history of Singapore with mural after mural displayed at the first level of a podium. It chronicles the history of Singapore from the British times to the days of ultra-modern Singapore.
From this point there are a couple of trails heading in different direction but I wasn’t really interesting in those right now, since I already have a route in mind.
