I can’t help but keep comparing Phi Phi Island to the islands of the Bacuit Archipelago in Palawan Philippines. The islands have so much in common and both a equally spectacular in term of raw beauty. Another thing in common which I discovered is that they also have lagoons. I guess spectacular limestone islands always come with this package. Ko Phi Phi Leh is not different. We were brought into a large lagoon similar to Big Lagoon in Miniloc Island. This one seemed to be shallower though.
There were a few motorboats in the lagoon when we entered but the lagoon was large enough not to make it feel crowded. There were a few motorized long tailed boats hired by foreigners who were swimming in the crystla clear waters of the lagoon. It was a truly amazing sight. I guess I just have this fascination with limestone formations be it on land or on the sea.
