Maya Beach was certainly beautiful but the crowds there turned me off. Fortunately, Maya Beach was not the only spot we needed to see. As we sped away from Maya Beach, I managed to get a few shots of the island without any people. The other motorboats were already racing away from Maya Beach on to their next destination. It would be worthwhile to note that not all of the tours on offer are the same. Some would include certain spots, while some will not. In some cases visitors can only see Maya Beach but not step on it. So make sure you know what you are getting.
It is little wonder then why there can be so many different prices for the Phi Phi Island tour. So cheaper may not always be better since they may not be alike at all. Back in the motorboat, I relieved that I am back with only 40 people. The thousand people are Maya Beach was too overwhelming. Maybe next time I could hire a long tail boat to bring us here at my leisure with no pressure to leave the place. In fact, there were these two foreigners who have a boat of their own and paddled their way to Ko Phi Phi Leh. It was amazing how the managed to get there since it already took our motorboat almost an hour to get here.
