Okay, maybe the title is a little misleading. When we hit lunch time, my driver asked me if I wanted to have lunch. Never to shy away from such things, I agreed. However, I instructed him to go to a cheap but good place. So after a few minutes of traveling on the dusty road, this is what he came up with. There were a makeshift hut beneath a tree with a few tables in it. This is Kaungmon Restaurant.

Now, the word restaurant might be too nice a word to describe it. An eatery might be more proper. Austere might also fit, but who cares, a least it was a respite from the unforgiving noon time sun. The restaurant surprisingly has an English menu but no prices, no surprise there. I had a simple order of fried rice. While my driver was relaxing in the hammock in the hut. It seems that he knows the people in the hut and I wouldn’t be surprised if he always brought customers here.

As for the food, I didn’t really expect much from the food. It was okay, at least it fills up the tummy. The owners didn’t speak English but were all smiling at me. After about half and hour of waiting in the shade, we again set off to continue our temple hopping adventure.
