The walk to the Liusha Waterfalls was pretty relaxing. More especially so since there were hardly and tourists around. It would seem like I had the entire village all to myself. I walked back to the village where it took another hour. It was still early at this time and I didn’t know what to do yet. I thought of walking to the other hiking trail but it might take too much time to make it back to village by noon. So I decided to take an early lunch.
Again, the main square is the place to go for any food. This time I chose another generic food place. You can easily tell since they have food displayed in front and the smoked meat is hung practically everywhere. After ordering my food, my hosts led me upstairs where you get a nice view of the street below. Not that there is much to see along the street. I just relaxed on their tiny chairs and watch time go by.
Finally my food came, for a change, I ordered the fried small fish and some tofu. The small fish taken from their rivers and is of course fresh water. Fresh water fish tend to have quite a bit of bone, even if the fish is quite small. This fish is no different. While the taste is quite nice the bone kept getting in the way. This is one of the reasons why I prefer my fish filleted over this. Either way, finished my fish and my tofu too. It was still a satisfying meal.
From the upper floor, I got a good view of the roofs of the houses here. Apparently, this is how they make their typical tiled roofs. The tiled are piled one of top of the other until they get the shape they like. I guess storms do not really pass by this part of the country so it is easy for them to build such roofs. I relaxed a few more minutes until I set out to continue my hike.
